Arthur made the first Federal immigration law. Cleveland led a campaign against the Apache in the Southwest. Harrison had to deal with the massacre at Wounded Knee. McKinley was president when Hawaii was annexed, then assassinated during his second term. Roosevelt compromised with the United Mine Workers of America after the Anthracite Coal Workers Strike. Taft helped at the sixteenth amendment to the Constitution. Wilson had that whole World War I thing. Harding established the bureau of Veterans Affairs. Coolidge signed the Immigration Act.
