Chester liked to lounge around the billiards table while smoking a fat cigar, or he might sit and listen as a female sang 'classical' songs. Conversation was a leisure ativitibity and people did more than discuss the weather. While topics of the day provided much grist for the mill, people might circle around a well known professor and listen intently while he described Egyptian Cultural artifacts from the Fifteenth Dynasty (a lot like Yahoo answers only more face to face).
